Canadian-Japanese auto supplier opens plant in Queretaro

Last week ABC Inoac Exterior Systems Inc. opened its first production facility in Mexico, a US$ 45 million injection molding plant in the state of Queretaro. The company, which is a 50-50 venture between ABC Group Inc. of Toronto and Inoac Corp., of Nagoya, Japan, will make exterior trim parts for General Motors Co., Nissan Motor Co. Ltd., Ford Motor Co. and Honda Motor Co. Ltd.
The facility, located in the municipality of San Juan del Rio, covers 188,000 square feet, with another 20,000 square feet for offices.
The plant, ABC Inoac de Mexico SA de CV, becomes the fourth facility operated by ABC Inoac, which formed in 2012. Other facilities are located in the U.S. and Canada.
