Adoption of Samsara’s AI agents is growing across all physical operations
Samsara Inc., a pioneer of the Connected Operations Platform®, has announced the launch of Samsara Agent Studio, a no-code AI agent platform designed specifically for physical operations. Adoption of the Samsara platform has accelerated sevenfold since June in the region, driven by leading companies in Mexico that aim to automate reporting, predict compliance risks, and communicate directly with their drivers via voice.
Agents built for knowledge work can expect a request. In physical operations, much of the work is already in motion, so agents are needed that understand what’s happening in real time and are capable and intelligent enough to take action. Samsara shares this context through more than a decade of operational data on vehicles, equipment, workers, and sites—including location, video, diagnostics, behavior, and environmental conditions—from customers across various industries and geographies. Furthermore, Agent Studio turns that context into action, offering customers pre-built AI agents and a builder for custom chat and voice agents tailored to their operations. Now available to all customers, this makes Samsara the first platform for physical operations to offer both options.
“AI is quickly adopted when it's useful, and in field operations, that means an agent must understand the operation and respond to the needs of the people where the work is being done,” said Johan Land, Product Director at Samsara. “In the office, that might happen via chat. On the road, it happens via a phone call. That's what brings an agent to life in the real world.”
Agents created in the Agent Center take on tasks that previously required hours of manual analysis or a dedicated specialist. Report generation is where many customers start, quickly expanding to more complex tasks—such as identifying opportunities to reduce fuel costs, anticipating regulatory compliance risks before a violation occurs, diagnosing the cause of operational incidents, and giving drivers immediate access to company-specific guidance.
