Aeronautical Engineering at the Instituto Politecnico Nacional (IPN)

Students from the Aeronautical Engineering in the Superior School of Mechanical and Electric Engineering (ESIME) at the IPN, are conducting their maintenance practice on 4 airplanes and a helicopter, through 25 laboratories. “This is to support the structural repairs, avionics systems, maintenance engineering, aeronautic manufacturing and composite materials”, explained Ruben Pardo Saavedra, Academic Director of ESIME Ticoman. There are laboratories for very specific areas within aeronautics, where flight simulations take place, added Mr. Pardo Saavedra. The IPN welcomes in its engineering classrooms around 2800 students each year.
