Aeronautics Sector registers US$1.9 billion investments

Near of US$1.9 billion (from public and private funds) have been invested in the aeronautics sector during the first three years of the current administration, which have allowed the growth of 260 new local routes and 186 international courses, highlighted Gerardo Ruiz Esparza, Head of the Ministry of Communication and Transports (SCT). During the inauguration of the Terminal 3 of the Cancun International Airport, which required an over US$57 billion investment, the Officer pointed out that Mexico has a better connection, both inside and outside their borders, as a result of the whole investment in this sector. He also stated that passenger's traffic has increased 33%, going from US$3.1 billion to more than US$4.1 billion during this period; while the carried cargo that generates new jobs and investments, has reached a 17% increase, reflecting growth and strengthening of the Aeronautics sector in Mexico.
