Aguascalientes Airport receives National Distinction for Tourism Qual

AGUASCALIENTES - The Aguascalientes International Airport (AGU) received the Diamond level of the National Tourism Quality Distinctive (DNCT).

The aerodrome is the first in the country to obtain this maximum integral recognition granted by the Mexican Ministry of Tourism to service providers that obtain a certain level of quality within the National Tourism Certification System, which allows them to establish continuous improvement processes.

The Distintivo Nacional de Calidad Turística has different categories, ranging in ascending order from Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond. This recognition is valid for two years and integrates national and international certifications and seals, which are awarded to tourism service providers with high standards.

The common objective of this distinction is to achieve quality, social responsibility and sustainability, in order to fully satisfy the needs of tourists and thus guarantee their return, as well as the attraction of new markets.

Alejandro Rojas Vieyra, Director of the Aguascalientes Airport, emphasized the importance of this program in the tourism sector.

"For the Airport's work team, it has been very enriching to direct all the efforts made on a daily basis to the parameters requested by the National Tourism Certification System, since we have a common goal: to improve the passenger's experience when passing through our destination," he said.

Recently, the Aguascalientes Airport received the Inclusive Tourism Seal for promoting inclusion and fair and equal treatment of any person by incorporating accessibility criteria in its daily operations and organizational culture in order to allow people with disabilities to enjoy the destinations.
