Aguascalientes Attracts Canadian Companies to Expand Its Supply Chain

Aguascalientes has welcomed a delegation of Canadian companies from Ontario, with the aim of identifying opportunities within the automotive and advanced manufacturing value chains, particularly in the areas of supply chain management, automation, tooling, industrial software, and specialized processes.

The visit was organized by the Canadian Consulate in Guadalajara and brought together companies with expertise in precision machining, metalworking, stamping, automation and robotics, inspection systems, industrial safety, and the supply of raw materials—areas related to the needs of the manufacturing plant located in the state.

Ontario has been able to showcase its technological and manufacturing capabilities to companies that are part of the Aguascalientes industrial ecosystem, gaining insight into production processes and specific requirements for integration with suppliers—a key factor in identifying potential business partnerships—through visits to the operations of Nissan Motor Corporation, Jatco México, JM Romo, Sensata Technologies, and Resortes Monticello.

Similarly, the event featured the launch of the Supplier Development Microsite, a tool designed to showcase the capabilities of local companies and facilitate contact between buyers and suppliers. The initiative hopes that attracting foreign capital will create opportunities for companies based in Aguascalientes and lead to greater participation in supply chains.

Aguascalientes aims to forge ties with Canada and North America in an effort to promote its industrial platform to companies interested in advanced manufacturing, paving the way to expand supplier relationships in sectors where the state already has automotive, metalworking, and specialized manufacturing operations.
