Aguascalientes entering the aerospace sector

Aguascalientes is looking to enter into the aerospace sector, and for this reason, intention letters have been addressed to the Mexican Space Agency, to have all of its capacity, methods, logistical and technical support, to aid this industry to thrive in the State, said David Gonzalo Zapata Leal, President of the College of Information Technologies Professionals in Aguascalientes (CPTIA). Zapata Leal mentions that there is a plan to build nano satellites to perform field research in the State. He also declared that Aguascalientes is now giving its first step in the aerospace industry, with the launch of its first satellite, named “Can Sat”, with 100% technology developed at local Universities´ classrooms.
