UNITED KINGDOM - In a recent working tour that included Belgium and the United Kingdom (UK), Aguascalientes consolidated its position as a center of interest for European investors.

Esaú Garza de Vega, head of SEDECyT, stressed the need to strengthen and expand ties with European countries, which to date have invested more than US$500 million dollars in Aguascalientes.

The tour was led by the Undersecretary of Investment and Development, Jorge Andrade Serafin.

The delegation participated in the event "Roundtable on scaling up the green bond market in Mexico" organized by the Bolsa Institucional de Valores (BIVA) and the European Commission.

This event promotes the issuance of green bonds for industrial projects and highlights the growing importance of sustainability.

The Aguascalientes delegation met with Hector Martinez, representative of the Mexican Ministry of Economy in Belgium and to the European Union.

This meeting was followed by a meeting with Olga Martinez, Economic Affairs Attaché at the Mexican Embassy in Belgium.

The most relevant aspects of the investment attraction strategy for Aguascalientes were presented.

The meeting highlighted the attributes and strategies for industrial growth with a focus on sustainability.

Esaú Garza de Vega highlighted the importance of these tours that allow a first contact with investors to seek greater generation of new jobs and economic growth in the state.
