The new industrial complex Parque Industrial Aeropuerto (PIA) in the Municipality of Colon, will stand on an 80 hectare surface, with an initial investment of US$35.1 million during its first stage, and during a second stage, which consists of the installation of companies, a US$89.1 million investment is expected. Several production plants and distribution centers will operate in the premises, with the objective of attracting companies from the automotive, aeronautic, logistics and consumption industries as well. 250 direct jobs and 650 long term jobs will be required for the construction stage, and 1,600 will be required in further stages. During the ceremony to set the first stone of the building, Alberto Mizrahi Levy, President of AM Real Estate Development, remarked the competitive advantage the park's location brings, as it is close to the Mexico-Queretaro Highway and Queretaro's Intercontinental Airport (AIQ), which makes inter connectivity more efficient.
