The Mexican digital economy is gaining more and more strength. In this sense, in the framework of the eCommerce Summit & Expo (ECSE) 2018, the US giant Amazon and ProMéxico signed an agreement with the objective of supporting the development of e-commerce for Mexican small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), as part of the strategy "Mexico Exporta en un Click".

As part of the agreement between Jeff Bezos' company and ProMéxico, about 80 Mexican artisans from Michoacan, Guanajuato, State of Mexico, Yucatan and Oaxaca, specialized in textiles, jewelry, ceramics, among other areas, will join the Amazon platform Handmade in order to be able to market their products in the country and export to the United States.

According to ProMéxico, support will also be given to SMEs from other regions and, among the agreement's clauses, the organization and execution of conferences aimed to help Mexican entrepreneurs are included.
