QUERETARO The country's aviation industry is in good conditions and presents positive numbers because it is "vaccinated against the crisis," said Felipe Sandoval, president of the Mexican Federation of Aerospace Industry, AC (Femia).

He stated that in the last eight world crises this industry has not stopped growing in Mexico.

For example, he said, companies such as Boeing and Airbus still have aircraft orders for the next 15 to 20 years. "Mexico has been extremely successful and the government of Querétaro is an example of that, but in general the country has been successful in attracting investment and developing this industry," he said.

In the last 25 years the aerospace industry has grown 15% per year, on average; no other sector has ever achieved something like this, he stressed.

"In addition, the aerospace sector is the one that more added value represents in Mexico. Our last to May-data records exports that amount to US$9.3 billion this year.
