ArcelorMittal investing US$1 billion in Mexico

ArcelorMittal, one of the largest steel companies in the world, made an announcement last September of investment plans for Mexico, focused on becoming specialized while increasing the Company’s participation in the hot rolled (plated steel) segment, which is currently in the hands of importers. The investment is valued at US$1 billion, to be applied over the next three years, to buy a new plating line and to modernize the plant located in Lazaro Cardenas, Michoacan.
