Audi Mexico recognized as a Socially Responsible Company

SAN JOSE DE CHIAPA – For the fifth consecutive year, the Audi Mexico plant received the Distinction of Socially Responsible Company (ESR) awarded by the Mexican Center for Philanthropy, A.C. (CEMEFI) and the Alliance for Corporate Social Responsibility (AliaRSE).

This distinction is awarded to companies that comply with national and international corporate social responsibility standards and norms in five areas: corporate social responsibility management; quality of life; business ethics; community involvement; and care and preservation of the environment.

By obtaining this distinction, the plant strengthens its role as a Corporate Citizen through the generation of actions of value to society and the environment.

The Audi Mexico plant generates around 5,000 direct jobs, contributing to the strengthening of the region's value chains with the objective of promoting the economic and social development of its communities.

Its employees, as well as their safety and well-being, are of utmost importance to the company, as they are the strength and engine of the plant.

The plant recognizes that environmental protection is intrinsically related to its corporate objectives, so it is making a real and measurable commitment to reducing and making efficient use of resources in all its production processes.

In line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, the company implements various actions to ensure its operational continuity while caring for the environment.
