For second year in a row, the Audi Q5 has been named winner of the 2019 Kelley Blue Book Best Buy award in the Compact Luxury SUV category. Announced ahead of the Los Angeles Auto Show, the annual awards recognize the top new model-year vehicle choices available in the U.S. market.

Editors at Kelley Blue Book, a publication specialized in new and used vehicle information, praised the 2019 Audi Q5 for its “innovative technology, sophisticated quattro powertrain, exceptional fit and finish and impressive fuel economy.”

“Having the Audi Q5 recognized as Best Buy from Kelley Blue Book is a testament to our expertly designed vehicles that feature the latest technology and outstanding performance,” said in a statement Filip Brabec, vice president, Product Management, Audi of America. “We are tremendously proud of our 2019 model line, and believe these awards reflect the premium quality we deliver, particularly in our SUV family lineup.”

As the brand’s best-selling model to date this year, the Q5 sets a new standard in its segment, with the sporty performance of a sedan and versatility of an SUV. Featuring exceptional driving dynamics, elevated design and premium interior space, the Q5 comes equipped with a 2.0-liter TFSI four-cylinder engine and a seven-speed S tronic dual-clutch transmission.

New for 2019, the Q5 comes standard equipped with heated front seats, rear electric child locks, Audi Connect CARE, a 7-inch color driver information display and offers available Audi MMI Navigation plus with MMI all-in-touch. In 2018, the Q5 was also named the Kelley Blue Book Best Auto Tech Award winner in the luxury category.

Kelley Blue Book’s KBB.com has a dedicated 10-person editorial staff who collectively drive and review nearly every new vehicle on the road each year. The awards are the culmination of a year-long regimen of expert vehicle evaluation and testing of nearly every new vehicle available in America, along with analysis of a broad swath of vehicle-related data.

Most Audi Q5 SUVs sold in global markets, including North America, are sourced from the company’s assembly plant located in the municipality of San Jose Chiapa, Puebla, in Central Mexico.
