Praised for its “styling and sportiness” in the crossover segment, the 2018 Audi Q5 has been named one of Autotrader’s “10 Best Car Interiors under US$ 50,000”, an award determined by Autotrader editors based on attractive, comfortable and thoughtfully planned interiors of recently updated models. Each of the cars tested scored a four or better on a five-point evaluation scale.

“What’s on the inside of a car is arguably as important as what’s on the outside, since drivers and passengers spend all their travel time here,” said Tara Trompeter, managing editor for Autotrader. “The recently updated Audi Q5 boasts new styling and a sporty character, and with a reputation for innovative interior design, the 2018 model lives up to all expectations.”

The Q5 interior highlights include a standard three-spoke multifunction steering wheel with shift paddles and an available panoramic sunroof. The asymmetrical center console creates a driver-focused cockpit while the small number of controls with expanded functionality increases the ease of use.

The innovative Audi virtual cockpit, an entirely digital dashboard with 3D graphics and exceptional clarity, transforms the way the driver interacts with the Q5. The 12.3-inch display delivers at 60 frames per second with NVIDIA quad core processing power, helping to enhance the viewing and navigating experience via the large Google Earth images supported with 4G LTE (where available).

The Audi Q5 is manufactured at the company’s assembly plant in the municipality of San Jose Chiapa, Puebla in Mexico.
