In 2019, Audi will introduce a 100% electric car for the first time in the Mexican market, a model that will be presented at the Audi Summit in Brussels on August 30, reported Forbes Mexico.

The decision is part of a strategy that aims to have 20 electric models available in the global market by 2020, the news outlet said, citing Concepción Alvarado, who is in charge of Public Relations at Audi Mexico, as the source.

"The vehicle will be assembled in Brussels (...) we're already in talks with the Federal Electricity Commission to establish the necessary agreements to offer support to our customers when we have the model ready in the country," she said.
