Automotive distributors prepare new investments in Querétaro
QUERETARO - For this year, the opening of 15 new vehicle distribution agencies is planned, which will bring an investment of US$52.5 million.
These investments will require the incorporation of at least 1,200 jobs, explained the president of the Association of Automotive Vehicle Distributors (AMDA) in Querétaro, Laura Rodríguez Miranda.
Among the investments planned for this year are those that have already begun operations and those that are in the construction phase.
"We closed a year, the last quarter, with agency investments; for this 2024 we are going to open 15 new agencies. Although there is a boom of Asian agencies that are coming to the state, I would like to mention that seeing this economic possibility, of legal certainty, of security for all entrepreneurs, is that not only Asian agencies are also coming," she said.
Of the 15 investment plans, 10 are Asian brands and the remaining five are traditional companies in the market.
With the new incorporations, she estimated that the state will concentrate close to 85 distribution agencies installed.
"Before, our strong point was Querétaro capital and today we are opening agencies in Corregidora, we have been growing and these new (investments) in particular are in Corregidora and San Juan del Río," Rodríguez Miranda said.
There are plans to open a Toyota and a Mazda agency in San Juan del Rio, as well as a Mercedes Benz agency, which is projected to be the most important of the brand in the region in terms of size and distribution.
