The Government of the US informed that it will focus its request to change origin regulations on the automotive sector, because this is the business area that concentrates the largest commercial deficit with Mexico and Canada. Wilbur Ross, US Secretary of Commerce, declared that automobiles and auto parts are particularly important, as the commercial deficit of the US automobile and auto parts business with Canada and Mexico adds up to US$84.6 billion per year, which represents the largest portion in the US economic deficit.
