Automotive paint sector raising investments in Mexico

The automotive paint industry is planning to increase in investment in the near future. Axalta commercial director, Luis Espericueta, comments that last year, they made a US$12 million to expand their resins production, targeting mainly the national market. Likewise, Frank Hezel, Vice President of BASF Mexico, disclosed that they have an investment plan to expand the operation of their Tultitlan plant, in the State of Mexico. Efren Zagal Reyes, Commercial Director Sherwin Williams Automotive Finishes, informed that the Company is outlining new investment for this 2017 in order to raise production by 10%.
