Avocado production grows in China thanks to Mexico

From January to June 2018, 9,368 tons of 100% Mexican avocado have been sold in China, 7.1% higher than that sold from January to December 2017 in the Asian giant.

Juan Carlos Anaya, director of Grupo Consultor de Mercados Agrícolas, talked about the issue and explained that "the Chinese demand is increasing and the price for the Mexican producer is stable".

Avocado production increased in 2017, 6% more than the previous year, which has helped to maintain both the export supply and the domestic market, said Carlos Anaya.
