From July to September 2016, Baja California had economic growth rates of 4%. Carlo Bonfante Olache, Secretary of Economic Development, informed that the State is showing strength in connection to its economic and social development and its relation with California, a State with whom great commercial, social and cultural exchange is maintained. By sectors, in agriculture, livestock and fisheries; there was a 1.3% growth rate. In manufacture, construction and mining, the growth rates reached 3.9%. The growth rate for commerce and services was 4.1%, that is the greatest increase in the border area.
