A group of Baja California's government officers and members of industrial chambers, including the Department of Economic and Industrial Development of Tijuana (DEITAC), the Ministry of Economic Development of the State (Sedeco) and the Secretary of Economic Development of Tijuana (Sedeti), attended the 2016 Aerospace and Defense Supplier Summit in Seattle, Washington, to represent this (prosper) region of Northern Mexico. The Baja California participants prospected companies that could benefit from manufacturing in this state, which puts forward cost-effective, competitive solutions. This was a major opportunity to promote positive features of the State, such as its production capabilities, its large number of firms currently in operation, and the certifications held by companies that are fit to serve this sector, as well as the vast supply chain alternatives available for the industry.
