Bimbo operating new solar energy system

During the inauguration of the Bimbo Solar Supply System, Grupo Bimbo’s President and General Director, Daniel Servitje, reasserted that, as part of their Corporate sustainability strategy, the new Bimbo Distribution Center, which is currently under construction in the Mexican capital, is going to be equipped with the largest solar roof in Mexico, with a 2.2 megawatts (MW) capacity. The newly activated self-supply System was set up in Grupo Bimbo’s corporate building in Mexico City and it is equipped with 308 solar panels, to supply 20% of the energy the general offices are going to consume.
