BMW Plant in San Luis Potosi is roughly 60% complete

BMW is committed to open their production plant next April 2019, with or without the NAFTA. Unlike other automotive plants, that are focused on supplying for the U.S. market, these BMW facilities were planned to export to the rest of the world. This is one of the two plants that will produce the 3 Series globally. This model is currently assembled in Germany and China, but from 2019 onward, the Mexico production will replace that from Germany. This plant will create 1,500 direct jobs and nearly 10,000 indirect jobs.
