VILLA DE REYES Last June 6th, BMW Group plant San Luis Potosí was inaugurated, where the best-selling model of the brand, Series 3 will be produced; said model will be sent to more than 140 countries.

The leading company in the luxury vehicle market invested more than US$1 billion and will generate more than 2,500 direct jobs in addition to 32,000 indirect jobs.

This plant will be the most modern of the firm worldwide and will become an international reference and leader in the manufacture of premium units. The plant stands out for having an innovative production system and will have the highest standards in terms of sustainability. The facility will also be strategic for the firm, as it will increase its presence in the Americas, mainly in the United States.

The complex was built on an area of 300 hectares in the Logistik II Industrial Park, belonging to the municipality of Villa de Reyes. It has an annual capacity of up to 175,000 vehicles and a production of 250,000 light vehicles is projected for 2020.
