BMW tests welding workshop at San Luis Potosi plant

BMW Group started test runs in the welding workshop of its plant currently under construction in Villa de Reyes, San Luis Potosi.
The testing state started after 500 robots were installed for the process that creates the body of the 3 Series sedan of the German automaker.
In a video circulating on social media there can be seen Hermann Bohrer, director of the plant in San Luis Potosi, launching the tests along with employees and managers of the company.
According to the segment, the welding process includes the 200 best practices of BMW's global production network. "We are ready to start up the leading BMW plant in Mexico," says Hermann Bohrer in the video.
The BMW plant will start production in April 2019 with an annual capacity of up to 150 thousand vehicles.
