The president of Boeing International, Marc Allen, said that the Company's relationship with Mexico is ever closer, since in addition to proving aircraft to Aeromexico, they also delivered the Presidential Plane and two satellites to the Ministry of Communications and Transportation (SCT). He added that they continue increasing orders for aerospace parts from domestic suppliers. Each year, Boeing purchases an average amount of US$1 billion in aerospace parts from Mexico. Allen said that the arrival of the Boeing 787 Dreamliner to the Eagle Knight airline's fleet will be a sweeping change for long-haul passengers, since this effect has already been observed in the rest of the world. He added that it meant a lot to Boeing to see the Aeromexico flew the Pope on a 787 Dreamliner from Juarez City to Rome after his visit to Mexico. Boeing's executive mentioned that the growth of Mexico's aviation industry exceeds its GDP growth. So there could be further steps to take with Mexico in response to increasing global aircraft demand.
