Canacintra Puebla to conduct trade missions to Asia and the Middle East in 2026

The National Chamber of the Transformation Industry (Canacintra) in Puebla is preparing a trade mission for 2026 to Asia and the Middle East, where there is a high demand for agri-food and beverages, so it must work this year to organize a group of traveling companies.

Carlos Sosa Spinola, president of the organization, explained that it is not easy to organize a mission of businessmen, to whom the benefits of these markets and the possibilities of doing business have to be explained.

For this reason, he said, the planning is done a year in advance so that the companies can also make a study of their products and if there is a need to improve them, especially in presentations, they can do so.

He mentioned that these two markets represent ample possibilities to export due to the growth of sales in the last 8 years, as commented by businessmen.

The leader of the industrialists pointed out that they would not be the only ones, but they would be the most important ones that they are looking to materialize, by distance, in 2026.

“We want to carry out a mission to Singapore, to the Middle East, to the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, which are very interesting markets, and possibly one to South America”.

Although, Sosa Spínola foresaw that, in the second half of 2025 a trade mission to Los Angeles and New York could be carried out.

He emphasized that the objective is to position products from Puebla in different parts of the world, especially Asia and the Middle East, where some large companies are exporting.

He insisted that the uncertainty generated by the threat of tariffs by the United States, leads them to give speed to diversify shipping markets.

He commented that Canacintra gives importance to the US market, but what has happened recently with Donald Trump's government should lead them to consider other more flexible markets.

It is important to mention that the business organization participated in the trade missions organized by the state government in the last two years of the six-year term.

These trips were to San Antonio Texas, New York, Germany and China, from which they are still waiting for investment projects.
