CDMX requires 8 million square feet of industrial space

The demand for industrial spaces has not stopped despite concerns for a possible renegotiation of the NAFTA (North America Free Trade Agreement). Approximately 8 million square feet of area to lease will be needed this year in Mexico City. The electronic commerce is just at its early stages in Mexico and developers expect to benefit from it, due to our concentration in consumption markets such as Mexico City, Guadalajara and Monterrey. Out of the estimated future demand for Mexico City, 25% or 2 million square feet, are expected to come from companies dedicated to electronic commerce, which is having vigorous activity in Mexico.
