Cuautitlan, State of Mexico,- With the most modern press in the world to shape a vehicle body and 268 robots throughout the plant, Ford de Mexico is working on making of their Cuautitlan Plant in the State of Mexico one of the most modern and safe assembly centers the company has throughout the world.

The plant is one of Ford’s biggest in Mexico and shows an almost futuristic scenario. Employees are really proud of this, and the first thing they talk about is the press that receives recently cut sheets to shape all the pieces that make up new Ford Fiesta, a model assembled only in Mexico for North, Central and South America.

After a few years with low production, Cuautitlan plant is now going from strength to strength. Its construction started in 1962, and included even a test track. The complex was inaugurated on November 4, 1964 and it currently has two assembly plants and export operations. Passenger vehicles and F Class trucks are assembled there.
