++guanajuato++ US$100 million plant announced in Guanajuato
Mexico City – Hella, manufacturer of lighting technologies, announced the opening of a new plant in Irapuato, Guanajuato, where headlamps taillights will be manufactured, to which purpose they will invest US$100 million.The new factory will start operating in June 2013, on a 20 square meters surface (25,277 sq. ft.) and will manufacture 200,000 headlights and 1.5 million taillights every year. Hella is also planning to expand their manufacturing plant in Guadalajara, Jalisco.
Therefore, the company’s production capacity in North and South America will increase from the current 3.7 million headlights produced to 4.9 million and from 2.5 million headlights to 4 million.
Both investments will generate 800 jobs in Mexico.
