CloudHQ Increases Funding for Its Querétaro Campus

The technology company CloudHQ has decided to increase its investment from US$4.8 billion to nearly US$6 billion for the construction of a campus with six data centers in Querétaro, a project it is developing in partnership with the state government.

According to the press release, during a working meeting with Governor Mauricio Kuri Gonzalez, progress on the project was reviewed together with company representatives, who also noted that there would be an increase in energy capacity—entirely funded by the U.S. firm—from 250 MW to nearly 1,000 MW, which is expected to provide greater transmission capacity to ensure the services to be provided.

Similarly, the executives presented the authorities with an update on the work and details of the project’s implementation schedule, with progress remaining on track according to the established timeline.

Along with the governor, the meeting was also attended by the Secretary of Sustainable Development, Marco Antonio Del Prete Tercero; the Director General of the Energy Agency, Mauricio Reyes Caracheo; CloudHQ’s Global Head of Growth, Keith Harney; and CloudHQ’s Executive Vice President for Latin America, José Fraga, among other dignitaries.
