Clusters gamble on technological innovation
Industrial chambers in Tijuana and across the border have estimated growth over 2% in new employment in the mega-region, thanks to the usage of Industry 4.0 oriented technologies, as well as the automation of both equipment and operational processes. The Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of the Cali-Baja mega-region (made up by California, US and Baja California, Mexico) is currently US$250,000 million. The State is witnessing the manufacturing industry shift towards value chains highly integrated by digital technologies, known as industry 4.0.
