The agreement between the US Companies Constellation Brands and Owens-Illinois to expand the glass bottle production plant they own in Nava, North of the State, which has been allocated a US$140 million investment, includes purchasing an oven to increase the production capacity. With the four ovens the Nava glass factory currently has, the Company has been able to satisfy between 40% to 50% of the beer brewer's needs. With this new oven, it is going to be able to supply up to 70%. This expansion to the beer bottle providers' plant, Industria Vidriera de Coahuila, is bringing about an increase in staff, to benefit the Northern region in the state.
