Continental strengthens its production in San Luis Potosí

SAN LUIS POTOSI - Continental Tires began the expansion of its plant in San Luis Potosí with the construction of a new 2,400 square meter building. This project incorporates advanced technology to optimize the production of key compounds in tire manufacturing, improving the safety, durability and efficiency of the final product.
During the inauguration of the new production areas, plant manager Ina Seterbakken emphasized that the expansion will increase operational efficiency and strengthen the sustainability of the production process.
"This new project prioritizes efficiency, economy and the well-being of the team with a vision of the future focused on customer satisfaction and sustainability," she said.
The investment in this expansion responds to the growing demand from the automotive sector and reinforces the positioning of San Luis Potosí as a key industrial hub in Mexico. The incorporation of cutting-edge technology will enable Continental Tires to manufacture compounds that reduce driving noise and improve tire performance in terms of safety and durability.
The governor of San Luis Potosí, Ricardo Gallardo, highlighted that the confidence of large companies in the state is a reflection of its competitiveness and industrial growth. He also highlighted that in the last three years the state has received investments of more than US$8.3 billion, consolidating its position as one of the main recipients of Foreign Direct Investment in the country.
