MEXICO — The Mexican company Craft Avia Center, will begin to provide maintenance to Russian civilian Ansat helicopters from the first half of 2020 in a center located in the city of Guadalajara, Jalisco.

Said project has been planned since 2015, starting then with the construction of a service and maintenance center, and now it is expected to comply with all the certifications to start operating, according to José de Vicente, president of Craft Avia Center.

"Mexico is a big market for the rotary wing sector, it is one of the most important in the world if we talk about civil helicopters, since it is estimated that there are around a thousand civil helicopters in the country, and according to Honeywell's predictions, in the next five years the market has to grow by about 25%, " Jose de Vicente said in an interview for the media site A21.

He also indicated that “Russian Helicopters”, through Craft Avia Center, will launch its new Ansat helicopter for sale, which is ideal for what characterizes Mexico, since it can operate at high altitudes such as Mexico City and in extreme temperature regions (-50 to 50 Celsius degrees).
