Creation of the National Chamber of the Aluminum Industry
The National Chamber of the Aluminum Industry (CANALUM), was recently constituted in Mexico. Manuel Herrera Vega, President of the Confederation of Industrial Chambers in Mexico (CONCAMIN), underscored that the creation of this new organization is very important, given the economic and industrial forecast in Mexico. Aluminum represents the second most used metal in the world. Aluminum production in Mexico is equivalent to 1.6% of the global production, that is, 1.5 million metric tons, with sustained annual growth rates averaging 13.7% since 2011.
