Daimler will have a total of 10,000 jobs in Mexico by 2018 with the kick start of its luxury vehicle production in the Aguascalientes plant, regardless of the negotiations in the framework of the renegotiation of the North America Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA),  underscored the CEO of Daimler Buses Mexico, Jan Hegner. “We have plants here. We have now 7,500 employees and we will have 10,000 soon”, explained the executive, who remarked that the Company has plants in Nuevo Leon, Chihuahua and a soon-to-open location in Aguascalientes, besides the corporate offices in San Luis Potosi “We are not going to change a strategic decision we have been following up on by years".
