Data Centers: New Opportunities for Manufacturing in Nuevo León.

Artificial intelligence is accelerating the construction of data centers around the world, but it has also driven demand for the equipment and technologies that make their operation possible—a trend that represents an opportunity for Nuevo León to strengthen its manufacturing industry and attract new investment.
The development of these centers typically requires an extensive supply chain comprising manufacturers of cooling systems, batteries, backup power equipment, and other specialized solutions.
However, Emmanuel Loo, Nuevo León’s Undersecretary for Investment, Innovation, and Artificial Intelligence, hopes to capitalize on this industry and drive significant expansion, due to the growth of artificial intelligence and the need to develop infrastructure capable of supporting this new technological demand.
The official explained that the sectors related to air conditioning systems and equipment manufacturing are directly linked to the development of data centers, since these centers require specialized solutions to maintain their operations.
He pointed out that:“Home appliances are very important because they are the fastest-growing sector. Why? Because they are closely linked to the overall growth of data centers. What a data center needs most are cooling systems—which are part of home appliances—and battery systems, which are part of the entire process”.
