Dräxlmaier to open US$ 13 million plant in Guanajuato

Germany-based auto parts manufacturer, Dräxlmaier, confirmed it's close to open a US$ 13.1 million plant in the municipality of Valle de Santiago, Guanajuato.
Although no other details were officially disclosed, it has been reported by local authorities that the company will open 1,200 job positions. The announcement took place at the Hannover Messe 2018 industrial fair in Germany.
Dräxlmaier builds electrical and electronic components, as well as interior parts for premium automakers such as BMW, Audi, Jaguar, Land Rover and Mercedes-Benz.
It will be the company’s sixth production facility in Mexico. Other plants are located in the municipalities of Lagos de Moreno, Matehuala, San Luis Potosi¸ San Miguel de Allende and Puebla.
