Engen Capital directs investments toward SMEs

Over the past decade, Engen Capital has established itself as a major player in corporate financing in Mexico, with a strategy that combines national reach and regional execution.

During this period, the firm channeled US$3.771 billion in new financing, of which US$80.5 million was allocated to the state of Coahuila.

The deployment of capital reveals a segmented structure that caters to different scales of production. Of the total amount, US$597 million went to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), while US$3.174 billion was concentrated in the corporate segment. This distribution has expanded access to financing schemes throughout the production chain, from smaller-scale operations to large industrial complexes.

Thus, Engen Capital’s track record over the past decade reflects a strategy that combines volume, sectoral diversification, and regional presence, with concrete impacts on state economies such as Coahuila’s, where financing becomes a key enabler for sustaining industrial growth.
