Exports of the aerospace industry surpasses US$7 billion

Aeronautic industry exports peaked at US$7.16 billion during 2016, which is a 7.2% increase, compared to 2015. Luis Lizcano, General Director of FEMIA, explained that the Mexican aerospace industry has a great opportunity to grow, considering that the demand for airplanes will double over the next 20 years. In his own words, "Air traffic is the industry's propellerā. The 2017 forecast for the Mexican aeronautic industry is to have exports of nearly US$8 billion.
