FEMIA elects Luis Manuel Azúa Sánchez as its new president
MEXICO - The Mexican Federation of the Aerospace Industry (FEMIA) informs that Mr. Luis Manuel Azúa Sánchez is president-elect for the period 2024-2026, after being voted by the majority of the members of this organization last November 11, a position that will be ratified during the General Assembly of Associates in February 2025.
From that moment on, the new President of the Board of Directors and of the organization itself will begin his term of office.
Among the activities that, according to the Federation's by-laws, the President will perform are: represent the Association before all kinds of authorities and individuals; ensure compliance with the resolutions issued by the General Assembly, the Board of Directors, the Plenary Sessions, the Committees and Commissions, permanent or special, of the Association; actively manage all matters of interest for the development and proper functioning of the Association and the achievement of its objectives, among others.
Mr. Azúa Sánchez, who has more than 30 years of experience in the industrial sector, currently serves as General Manager of Bell Mexico, working for Bell's Integrated Operations organization. He is an Electronic Engineer graduated from the Instituto Tecnológico de Chihuahua and has worked in different positions within the aerospace, automotive, medical and electronics industries, working for companies such as SIEMENS Automotive, Continental Automotive, Honeywell and Bell / Textron as part of the strategic teams of Manufacturing Technologies and Operational Efficiency.
Luis served as President of the Chihuahua Aerospace Cluster during the 2022-2024 period and is a member of the Board of Directors of INDEX and FEMIA.
