First berries shipment off to the Chinese market

The first shipment of Jalisco grown cranberries was sent to China recently. It consists of 420 cases with 1.5 kilograms each, of the fruit cultivated by Berries Paradise Company in San Isidro Mazatepec, in the municipality of Tala. The governor of Jalisco, Aristoteles Sandoval Diaz, indicated that the berries production in the State supposes the creation of 44,000 jobs and remarked that during 2016, exports were valued at more than US$1 billion. He affirmed that the production volume increased over 300% between 2012 and 2016.Â
