First stone of aluminum foundry plant set in Durango

Lalit Kumar, CEO of the Indian Corporation Sakthi Automotive Group, together with Durango Governor, Jose Rosas Aispuro Torres, set the first stone to the aluminum foundry plant that the Company is going to have at the Durango Logistic and Industrial Center, CLID. The initial investment is going to be US$40 million, generating 600 direct jobs, with expectations to reach 3,000 staff members. This plant will be dedicated to foundry and machining of components for braking systems and chassis for different companies. Some of the aspects that were took into consideration to choose a location in the State, are its strategic location, connectivity and quality of life of the Durango population, as well as its cultural wealth and natural resources, said Lalit Kumar.
