Ford plant in Irapuato construction 90% complete

The Ford transmission plant is arriving to the Castro del Rio industrial park, in Irapuato, Guanajuato, with a US$1.29 billion investment, expecting to create 2,000 jobs. Fernando Vera Noble, Economic Development Director, indicated that the building has a 90% advance in its construction, although there is no date established yet to begin operations. The estimated total hiring is 1,200 people; nearly 400 people will join the Company during 2017, while the rest will be hired gradually over the next. The Ford Transmission Plant in Irapuato is a factory which will produce 800 thousand transmission systems per year.
