Ford Plant to start Chihuahua operations in November

Ford Mexico announced that the construction of another plant in Chihuahua continues, with a US$1.1 billion investment, expecting to start operations next November. This plant will become the largest engine plant in Mexico and thanks to it, Ford will be the largest manufacturer in the country. The Chihuahua engine plant manufactures 295,316 annual units of the 1-4 engine, besides producing 179,900 diesel engines. Once the gasoline engine manufacture starts, the total production is expected to surpass even 500,000 units per year.
