Jim Hackett, delegate counselor of Ford, confirmed the company's decision to cancel the US$1.6 billion investment in San Luis Potosi. According to the announcement recently made by the Secretary of Economic Development in San Luis Potosi, Gustavo Puente Orozco, the negotiation with Ford is almost complete and it will be by late May that documents will be signed. The officer stated that the intention is to recover the US$27 million invested by the San Luis Potosi administration.
