GAC Mexico and VEMO deliver electric vehicles to accelerate clean mobility in mexico

MEXICO - GAC and VEMO, the Mexican cleantech leader in the transition to clean mobility in Latin America, have taken a strategic step to accelerate the adoption of electric mobility in Mexico with the delivery of 24 AION ES vehicles.

The delivery of the units, which took place at the GAC Ecatepec Distributor, was led by Lv Guojie, Vice President of GAC International, Rafe Huang, President of GAC Mexico, and Constantino Rodriguez, Commercial Head of VEMO.

During the event, Lv Guojie, vice president of GAC International, highlighted the importance of the agreement with VEMO, not only for the delivery of the vehicles, but also for the commitment of both companies to develop projects that will contribute to the promotion of electric mobility in the country.

“This agreement goes far beyond the delivery of units. It is a joint commitment to transform mobility in Mexico,” said Guojie.

He also announced that, by 2025, AC Mexico plans to have the largest fleet of AION electric vehicles in circulation in Mexico.

As part of this agreement, VEMO will make available to GAC users its public charging infrastructure, the VEMO Charging Network (VCN), which already has more than 600 chargers installed in various states of the country.

In this regard, Constantino Rodríguez, Head Commercial of VEMO, commented: “We know that the decision to purchase an electric vehicle is defined, to a large extent, by access to chargers; therefore, we have joined forces with GAC so that users can use our charging network, the most robust and reliable in the country.
