GE Aerospace analyzes new projects in Queretaro
QUERETARO - GE Aerospace is analyzing new plans to develop in the state, studying possible investments, explained the director of GE Aerospace, Andres Soler Perez Salazar.
These are areas in which the company is exploring possibilities, foreseeing that in subsequent months they will announce the firm's next plans.
“We are exploring many possibilities, but right now I have nothing concrete to tell you about. We do, within the propulsion area, some specific technologies such as controls, such as external systems for fluid and information conduction”, he pointed out.
Among the recent projects that the firm has materialized in the state is the Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) Laboratory - a project in which GE Aerospace and the Aeronautical University of Queretaro (UNAQ) are collaborating - and he commented that the first tests are about to begin.

“The operation of this laboratory involved an investment of US$4.8 million between the two agencies,” said the executive.
The start-up of the laboratory, he added, contributes to the aviation industry's goal of reaching zero net emissions by 2050.
The company currently employs 1,000 employees in Querétaro, exclusively engineering profiles; in terms of hiring, he added, the company is stable, but with the possibility of continuing to grow.
Among the profiles hired by the company in Querétaro, there are specialists in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, chemistry, mechatronics, materials engineering, physics, mathematics, among other areas.
In the state, the company operates General Electric Infrastructure Querétaro (GEIQ), an engineering and technological development complex.
